Smoking Sites

“Anti-smoking section."

http://www.no-smoke.org/
They are trying to get a smoke free law passed in Colorado and provide you with a pre- written letter to the state legislation, encouraging them to vote in favor of non-smokers, where all you have to do is provide your information .
The site has a lot of information about smoking including facts and tips about it and is a national organization. It tells people how to try to protect themselves against secondhand smoke and a lot of other items. The website has a broad span of content regarding smoking.

This site is specifically about secondhand smoke and has many articles about the health problems associated with second hand smoke. Also though in the sidebar it shows tips how to quit and also has activities for youth and more. One project they show is “Bridge the Gap,” a program involving community representatives that is targeted at different populations of people in the effort to decrease tobacco use and therefore secondhand smoke.

“Pro-smoking section”

This site shows ten myths about smoking one of which is that people smoke because of advertising. It disputes the fact. It also has many other common arguments against tobacco listed and disputed. It’s exactly what one would expect a pro- smoking site to be.

This site is actually pretty funny. One part says “why do we die?” and the answer is given “we are human, we all die.” It also has a picture of an army guy on the front smoking and gives his name and say “God Bless Him.”
